About Me

I am a partner at online travel agent Global Holidays (Leeds). I started the business in 1996. The business sells everything from cheap holidays to luxury world class holidays at discount prices.

I am also a lecturer in Travel & Tourism at Leeds City College.

All views and opinions expressed in this blog are my personal opinions and not those of my employer.

I worked for Legal & General Insurance until 1996.

I am a lover of technology and recently have started transferring my enthusiam for this into the classroom. My ambition is to transform the way students learn so that they stand a better chance of realising their dreams and have a better chance of employment in this very competitive world. Teaching needs to be brought into the 21st century so that students have the enthusiasm to learn new things, be critical thinkers and invent the technology of tomorrow so that the UK economy can start to grow again.

I love anything to do with the internet and I have designed and promoted many websites over the last few years. I am an avid follower of all things to do with search engine promotion and spend most of my time attempting to achieve high rankings in Google. It is a never ending occupation !

I started this blog in October 2008 as an outlet for my personal opinions and general ramblings about anything that comes into my head ! My ambition is to live long enough to know whether there is life on other planets in our universe ! (update ….I don’t think there is life out there) !

  1. Hi David, I think I was at school with you…Leeds Grammar School, some time in the early 70′s, you used to live near Mick Bayliss…. I came across your website while searching for SEO info and wondered if you can help with the site above. I’m a freelance photographer and produced an exhibition on AIDS in Honduras in the early 90′s, I rediscovered this work about 4 years ago and wish to make it available as an educational resource. The main traffic came from an American agency which had a link to it, but they have redesigned their website and not kept the link. The guy who designed the website has tried to help, but admits he is not an expert in SEO. This website has disappeared from google! My regular website is http://www.billstephenson.co.uk What do you think? Best Wishes, Bill.
